Who is Scott L. Feldman?
Scott L. Feldman is an attorney licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is also admitted to practice in Federal Court as well as the Supreme Court of the United States. The Law Offices of Scott L. Feldman is a full service general practice law firm with emphasis on consumer and commercial collections. Our office has been recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal in its annual ranking of local collection agencies.
Why use a collections attorney?
We have found that the time and efforts of our clients, as professionals and business owners, is best spent servicing their existing clientele or attracting new clients, while the “chasing” of bad debt often becomes a drain on their time, money and morale.

In addition, most individuals and businesses do not wish to risk running afoul of the many state and federal statutes and regulations governing collections. They would rather a professional, well versed in these laws, handle these matters for them.

What are the costs?
As we say, “No collection, no fee”. This means that you are not at risk of throwing your good money after bad for unsuccessful collection efforts. All collections are handled on a contingent fee basis – we retain a fixed percentage of what we collect as we collect it, and send your proceeds check to you on a monthly basis.

Your only out-of-pocket expenses are Court filing fees (usually $100 to $160), incurred only when you direct us to file suit on your behalf.

Are your fees collectible from the debtor?
Maybe! In instances where your contract or invoice allows for costs of collection, reasonable attorneys’ fees or the like, these costs are added on to the principal amount of the debt.
How do we get started?
Simply sign and return our contingent fee agreement along with documentation of the claim or debt, typically copies of your statement of account, agreement or invoices, along with the debtor’s last known address and telephone number(s). Our initial demand letter is sent within 48 hours of receipt.
